The all-new 2nd Generation Toyota Tundra Rear Bumper is engineered with steep trails and rugged terrain in mind. We know it’s not always easy driving a full-size rig offroad, so we constructed this awesome bumper to seriously improve your vehicle’s rear exit angle – making it much easier to descend in steep areas and less risky to drop on your backend. In addition to better performance, the steel construction adds incredible strength and durability to your truck’s tail, offering additional recovery points and mounting options for superior functionality. You can even add lights to improve visibility all around your vehicle. This is definitely the rear bumper you’ve been waiting for!

I put this bumper on a 2018 Tundra. Be aware right up front that the bumper pictured on this page is not the bumper you will get. You will get a bumper like this that has been modified to accommodate a swing arm. That means there will be a plate on each end of the bumper held on by four bolts, and a notch cut into each side of the bumper, none of which is pictured on this page. The notch will have a poorly fitting, poorly finished piece of plastic screwed into it. See picture in following link.

When I contacted CBI about this they said, "This was the design and finish that we finalized and do not have current plans to change it."
I decided it looked better without the plastic piece in the notch, so I just took it out. It looks better, but not great.
Aside from this notch issue and CBIs lack of concern about it, the bumper is solid, has an overall good appearance and the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) and RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert) do work on this bumper.
I expected to be a lot happier about this bumper than I am. As it is, it's good enough, but not as good as I hoped, especially given it has a $2000 price tag.
